We're happy to be able to provide you
with information about various latex foam products.
Latex itself has been around for many years
but it’s only in the past several that the benefits of latex
foam products have become well known. As people learned
more about both the health and comfort benefits of these
products, more and more of them have been making their way into
consumer’s homes.
Benefits of Latex Foam Products
- They’re naturally hypoallergenic. This
means that allergy sufferers find great relief from latex
foam products. If you have a dust and dander allergy,
imagine the relief you’d feel from being able to get a
great night sleep on a mattress and pillow that don’t
hold or produce dust.
- They are anti-microbial. This means
that these products inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungus,
mold, mildew and other nasties that you really don’t want
sharing your home. In natural fiber products, the
humidity that exists in many areas can cause a big
problem.
- They are dust-mite resistant because
mites feed off of natural fibers and the latex foam
products provide no source of food for the mites.
Cutting out a major part of their food source means you’ll
have fewer mites to worry about.
- The bedding products provide natural
back support. Because the Latex Foam Products moulds
to fit your body rather than the other way around they
allow you to sleep in a more natural, aligned position
which provides support to your back and other joints.
There are a variety of latex foam products
on the markets these days. The most popular products
include mattresses,
pillows and mattress toppers.
They can all be found in a variety of sizes, quality and price
ranges to fit any budget.
Latex foam products are natural and are made from the sap
of the rubber tree.
Methods of Making Latex Foam Products
- The Dunlop method. In this method
the rubber is whipped into a liquid into which air is
incorporated. The liquid is then poured into a
mould. The end result is your latex foam
product.
- The Talalay method.
This method is similar to the Dunlop method but they also
use core pins and a vacuum while curing the rubber which
results in a product with more consistent cell structure
which is of higher quality.
The Talalay method is, of course, the more
expensive.
So, if you’re looking to be not only more
healthy but also more comfortable while you sleep, latex foam
products are definitely worth looking into.
